Role Nigel Bennett as Trevor Tinsley

Anecdote "I did Funny Peculiar in Leicester such a long time ago. The most remarkable thing about it was that I had to appear full frontal nude. That was a treat!! My parents came to see me on one of their rare theatre visits and we went out for dinner afterwards, and through the whole thing they never once mentioned the fact that I had been stark naked up there. Selective vision!"

Play Synopsis "I was just standing in the kitchen when it came to me like, whoosh. We're sooo..... inhibited aren't we? So shut up in ourselves. If we could break loose, I think we could all be a lot happier! More, well.....free. Do you know what I mean, Irene?"

"Oh yeah, you mean in bed."

The hilarious misadventures of Trevor Tinsley, a small town grocer whose desire to taste the forbidden fruits of free love leads him into conflict with his strait-laced community and into the welcoming arms of his neighbour's wife. And finally provokes his narrow minded wife into a surprising reaction of her own.
