Role Nigel Bennett as Nick

Anecdote "Bedroom Farce is a comedy by Alan Aykbourn, probably Britain's greatest living writer of comedy. As the title suggests, the whole play taked place in bedrooms, three different ones to be precise. It is VERY funny. My character was Nick, stuck in bed with a bad back while his wife goes off to a party. There was one scene where I'd fallen out of bed and couldn't move. The lights came up, I lay there for a second and then whimpered "Help", then the lights went down. It was the easiest laugh I ever got, and probably the shortest scene I ever did."

Play Synopsis Ernest und Delia go out to celebrate their wedding anniversary. As this is a failure they retum home und prepare to celebrate it with a meal in bed. Malcolm and Kate are preparing to get dressed for a house-warming party they are giving. Nick and Jan have been invited, but Nick has hurt his back und is preparing to rest in bed. However all three preparations disaster by the marital problems of Trevor and his wife, who invade each couple in their bedroom.
