Episode One - Part One Written by Will Dixon and directed by Allan Kroeker Portland, Oregon, USA. Blaine and Debbie McCallister (Geoffrey Bowes, Angela Gei) summon the Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) to investigate the cause of numerous strange occurrences at the site of their new home, after their teenage daughter, Dixie (Jessica Moynes) is hospitalized as a result of a poltergeist encounter. When the O.S.I.R.'s Case Manager Conner Doyle (Peter Miller) and Physicist/ Statistician Peter Axon (Barclay Hope) lead a team of investigators into the house for observation, powerful forces from beyond severely injure two team members. To learn more about the phenomenon, the O.S.I.R.'s Dr. Anton Hendricks (Colin Fox) hypnotizes Dixie, who explains she saw five figures, including one that looked like an older version of herself. The O.S.I.R. races against time as Dixie mysteriously wastes away in the hospital. Finally, the O.S.I.R. summons psychic Linda Scholtz (Anna Migliarisi), who feels there are several presences in the house but is receiving no information about their past. The O.S.I.R. investigators believe these presences are actually a parallel McCallister family from the future warning the McCallisters not to move into the house. Doyle and his team come up with a plan that will heed the spirits' warning and hopefully save Dixie and her family from tragedy. Episode One - Part Two Written by James Nadler and directed by Allan Kroeker Crescent County, Iowa. USA. Agents from the Office of Scientific Research and Investigation (O.S.I.R.) are summoned to a small town to investigate a double alien abduction of two boys, Chad (Jonathan Kroeker) and Adam Keeler (Ryan Gosling), and UFO sightings witnessed by many townspeople. After close examination, the boys appear to be in shock, as well as having first and second degree burns. Chad has a gouge in his arm from which he claims the aliens took a sample of flesh. The O.S.I.R.'s Dr. Anton Hendricks (Colin Fox) examines the two traumatized boys and believes they are hiding some information from the authorities. During the O.S.I.R.'s surveillance, two low flying objects appear on their monitors. Before they can gather any information, their equipment jams, their aerial probe is lost and the two objects mysteriously disappear. The O.S.I.R.'s Peter Axon (Barclay Hope) and Natasha Constantine (Lisa LaCroix) search the area and discover the damaged probe on the same ranch where the two boys were allegedly abducted. The ranch workers, claiming to have seen nothing, are all mysteriously ill. After Hendricks finds deadly chemical-based toxins in their systems, Case Manager Conner Doyle (Paul Miller) sends Axon and Constantine on a covert sub-operation on the ranch. The O.S.I.R. agents frantically try to identify the UFOs when they reappear, threatening the safety of Axon and Constantine. Episode Two - Part One Written by James Nadler and directed by John Bell San Francisco, California, USA After hospitals and the Catholic Church fail to heal him, the Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) is called in to help a young software designer, Peter Tanner (Jesse Collins), who has experienced several demonic possessions. Case manager Professor Conner Doyle (Paul Miller) and his team discover through hypnosis that Tanner believes demons are attempting to steal his soul. The O.S.I.R. explores several theories but decide that they must investigate further to find an explanation for Paul's violent episodes. Tanner has another attack in the house followed by an unexpected episode experienced by his wife, Kelly (Nicole de Beer), who also thinks demons are tormenting her. Just as peace is restored in the house, O.S.I.R. Operative Ray Donahue (Peter MacNeill), searching the basement for clues, has a sudden spell. With one last gasp of self-control, he handcuffs himself to the furnace and throws away the keys before he has an opportunity to harm anyone. The O.S.I.R. investigators remember that, during Donahue's attack, he described hearing colours and feeling sounds. Realizing that blurred senses are a side effect of some hallucinogenic drugs, they test the three victim's blood samples and find traces of Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (LSD). Searching for the source of the drug, the O.S.I.R. uncover the hair-raising truth behind all the disturbances. Episode Two - Part Two Written by Larry Raskin and directed by Allan Kroeker Bedfordshire County, England The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) is summoned to investigate an unusual man (Richard McMillan) found wandering on a rural highway, disoriented and possibly dangerous. The strange man is dressed in farmer's clothes from a prior century and speaks an arcane dialect of English. Case Manager Professor Conner Doyle (Paul Miller) orders O.S.I.R. Psychiatrist Dr. Anton Hendricks (Colin Fox) to hypnotize and question the subject who claims to be John Hanrahan, a 35-year-old local farmer born in 1612. Hanrahan's last coherent recollection was working on his farm before seeing a strange bright light. The O.S.I.R. Investigator, Lindsay Donner's (Nancy Anne Sakevich) research reveals that someone named John Hanrahan did exist in that place in that era. Afterwards, she visits the estate where Hanrahan was first discovered and finds a painted portrait that resembles him. Further testing verifies that the homeowners are Hanrahan's descendants and that his clothing is made from authentic 17th century material. Meanwhile, Hanrahan thinks he has died and Hendricks is the angel who is to judge whether he Episode Three - Part One Written by Will Dixon and directed by Giles Walker Blind River, Wisconsin, USA. Tomas Donizetti (Bruno Dressier), an elderly man, is discovered dead; an apparent suicide. Shortly after, the Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) is called to investigate a huge aggregate of snakes, migrating through the town and terrorizing everyone. O.S.I.R. Physicist/ Statistician Peter Axon (Barclay Hope) hates this assignment - and anything involving snakes. The O.S.I.R.'s Zoologist, L.Q. Cooper (Peter Blais) discovers that Donizetti kept a strange variety of snakes but he cannot determine why the snakes suddenly decided to escape, especially since the different species of snakes have never been known to migrate together. O.S.I.R. criminologist Ray Donahue (Peter MacNeill) thinks Donizetti's death is suspicious because a suicide victim usually isn't found still holding onto the gun. The O.S.I.R. tracks the snakes to a local home which is, coincidentally, one of several homes recently burglarized in the sleepy little town. Since they have not gathered enough information to identify the phenomenon and no physical injuries have been reported, the O.S.I.R.'s Case Manager Conner Doyle (Paul Miller) decides to continue their observation of the migration rather than terminate it. While waiting to track the snake's next move, the team uncovers that Donizetti did not commit suicide - he was murdered. Seconds later, the O.S.I.R. monitors reveal the snakes chasing somebody through the middle of town towards a horrific conclusion.
Episode Three - Part Two
Written by Richard Oleksiak Warburton County, Massachusetts, USA The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) sets up a covert operation in a mansion owned by an elderly woman, Catherine Cartwright (Frances Hyland), after she videotapes one of her encounters with a spirit from "the other side".The operation, known only to Catherine and her doctor, Dr. Willard Marlowe (David Gardner), is ordered by O.S.I.R. Case Manager Dr. Curtis Rollins (Maurice Dean Wint). That evening, Catherine is awakened by a voice she believes is Robert, her dead husband, calling her to join him. As she reaches out an open window to touch the spirit, her son Jeffrey (Richard Fitzpatrick) suddenly appears and pulls her to safety. O.S.I.R. Operative Lindsay Donner and Rollins discover that the Cartwright's attended church regularly, indicating a well established belief in the probability of an afterlife. After reviewing Catherine's preliminary videotaped interview, the O.S.I.R. find information supporting Catherine's belief that the poltergeist may actually be Robert's lost spirit. With Jeffery away on business, Rollins orders complete on-site surveillance which leads initially to the discovery of fibre optic wiring throughout the house. Rollins meets with Catherine, who is tired of all the secrecy, and receives her permission to continue the investigation. Once again, a blinding, bright light and a voice awakens Catherine and hypnotically leads her down a hall filled with moving furniture and a strong wind. Just as she is about to topple off the stairs, Rollins runs up and saves her. As a dark figure runs by, Rollins confirms the suspicions the O.S.I.R. has had from the beginning.
Episode Four - Part One
Written by David Preston Jujuy, Argentina The Argentine government asks that the Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) to identify and terminate a mass of impenetrable darkness rising from the floor of a house owned by Miguel Richler (Damir Andrei) and his wife Claudia (Beatriz Pizano).Case Manager Curtis Rollins (Maurice Dean Wint) and the O.S.I.R. investigators send in a probe to gather data and information from the growing dark mass. After the probe mysteriously disappears within the mass without gathering any information, Peter Axon (Barclay Hope) O.S.I.R. Physicist/ Statistician, courageously volunteers to enter it. It's too dark inside the mass to see anything, and he returns safely without any new insight. The O.S.I.R. receives news that a second mass has appeared in China - at the exact opposite side of the Earth - and both are growing in size at exactly the same rate. The O.S.I.R. conclude that there are not two masses, but one that dissects the earth.Natasha Constantine, an O.S.I.R. Anthropologist, discovers an ancient local folk story that may explain their situation. Rollins determines that, at its current growth rate, the darkness will swallow their town in seven days, so they must act quickly to destroy the mass. After evacuating the surrounding area, Rollins, in desperation, orders the use of an advanced technological device that has the O.S.I.R. team concerned about its potential consequences.
Episode Five - Part One
Written by Larry Raskin Emerson, Manitoba, Canada Although skydiver Peter McGrattan (Albert Schultz) falls 10,000 feet to Earth after his parachute fails to open, he miraculously decelerates and lands safely on his own two feet. The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) arrives to investigate the mystery. McGrattan's physician, Dr. Stafford (Gina Wilkinson), tells the O.S.I.R. that she did not believe this incredible feat until she witnessed the same thing happen on his second leap. The O.S.I.R's Case Manager, Dr. Curtis Rollins (Maurice Dean Wint), meets McGrattan, who is planning a third jump. Rollins asks him to postpone it until the O.S.I.R. can run a full series of tests. After the tests and an amateur videotape of McGrattan' s jump fail to substantiate McGrattan' s claims, the O.S.I.R. creates a site to simulate the jump. McGrattan's first jump, in a safety harness to 30 feet below and his second jump without one, show that he has no power over gravity in this situation. Sure that McGrattan will eventually press his luck and skydive again, Rollins agrees to a third jump, with Rollins jumping as well. McGrattan promises to open his parachute at 2,800 feet as he and Rollins leap from the plane. Fully confident in his unique ability, McGrattan, ignoring his promise, unbuckles and releases his parachute. With both men falling less than 1,000 feet from the Earth, the O.S.I.R. team can only watch in horror from the ground below as Rollins tries to save the man who believes he can defy gravity.
Episode Five - Part Two
Written by Ian Weir Seattle, Washington, USA The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) is summoned to investigate what destructive force lurks in the Stansky home, frightening young Jeremy Stansky (William Greenblat). Case Manager Professor Conner Doyle (Paul Miller) and his team set up surveillance monitors in the house. After ruling out all circumstantial causes, Dr. Alexandra Corliss (Tamara Gorski) hypnotizes Jeremy and concludes that the boy believes he has seen something frightening, but is, himself, unlikely the cause of the damage to the house. The boy's father, Kevin (Judah Katz), is worried about his son's health and asks Doyle for permission to give him some rest by taking him away from their home for a few days. While away, the team notices unusual activity. Upon the family's return, Corliss' theory that the child's active imagination, mixed with the sights and sounds of the kitchen, is dismissed because it does not explain the damage to the house.Afterwards, a technician notices movement on one of the surveillance monitors. As the O.S.I.R. team rushes down to the basement, their flashlights soon illuminate the beastly cause of both the boy's nightmares and the damage to the Stansky home.
Episode Six - Part One
Written by: Damian Kindler Ozark Mountain Plateau, Arkansas, USA Authorities ask the Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) to investigate the mysterious deaths of a team of NASA scientists, who were on a high security military operation in search of a landed meteorite in the dense forests of Arkansas' Ozark Mountains. The O.S.I.R.'s Dr. Anton Hendricks (Colin Fox) autopsies the victims in search of clues and finds what appears to be a gigantic insect pincher in one of the bodies' wounds. When the O.S.I.R. discover and investigate the meteor site, they are confounded by a nest of large, unidentifiable eggs. Suddenly, the O.S.I.R.'s sensors detect life forms in the area. Chaos ensues as investigators scramble to pinpoint and identify the source of the rapid movement. Order is regained again, but only after two O.S.I.R. investigators are found brutally killed. After taking an egg back to the laboratory and watching it hatch, O.S.I.R. Zoologist, L. Q. Cooper (Peter Blais), explains that the specimen looks like a genetic cousin to the flea. When Case Manager Conner Doyle (Paul Miller) learns that fleas grow to 20-30 times their birth weight and adult females can produce thousands of eggs in under 30 days, he fears a colossal crisis is pending. Trying to determine whether the creatures are mutations from the meteor, extra-terrestrial or a subterranean life form, the O.S.I.R. sends in a team to the meteor site to gather more information. Their fears escalate when they find a dead adult creature that was possibly killed by its mate, a sign that they are reproducing. Not long afterwards, the team comes face-to-face with numerous full-grown creatures. If the O.S.I.R. can escape this confrontation, they know that drastic means will be needed to deal with a crisis of this proportion.
Episode Six - Part Two
Written by: Denise Fordham Toronto, Ontario, Canada The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) launches an investigation into the mysterious appearance of Angela Corbeil (Kelly King) and her daughter Sabine (Gillian Smith), who claim they were at home in Eureka, California one second and then in the dormitory of a Toronto university the next. The O.S.I.R.'s preliminary investigation finds that an Angela Corbeil does exist in Eureka, California. The O.S.I.R.'s Lindsay Donner (Nancy Anne Sakovich) checks all transportation routes and, although she finds that Corbeil had not been booked on any of them, she believes that Corbeil may be trying to attract public sympathy by concocting this incredible story. After learning that Corbeil has a sister, Mary Corbeil (Sandra Caldwell), Donner is dispatched to Eureka and finds that Mary is as baffled as her sister about the situation. Meanwhile, in Toronto, the O.S.I.R.'s Dr. Anton Hendricks (Colin Fox) hypnotizes Angela, who explains that the last thing she recalls before appearing in the dormitory was trying to stop Sabine from walking towards a bright light that suddenly appeared in her living room. After two weeks of environmental and physical testing and 24-hour surveillance, the O.S.I.R. has gathered no evidence leading to an explanation of the phenomenon. The O.S.I.R.'s Case Manager, Conner Doyle (Paul Miller), decides to halt the investigation, believing they have done all they can. The O.S.I.R. maintains periodic contact with Corbeil for two months, but becomes concerned when she fails to return their calls. When the O.S.I.R. investigates Corbeil's home, they are shocked to discover that the case may have been closed prematurely.
Episode Seven - Part One
Written by: Robert Cooper Lyon, France The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) is called in to investigate a mysterious creature that lurks in the sewers of the city and reaches out to destroy its victims.Initial evidence gathered by the O.S.I.R's zoologist L. Q. Cooper (Peter Blais) suggests that there may be two creatures at work - a North American grizzly bear and an alligator. Eliminating that possibility, the O.S.I.R. is faced with a scientific impossibility: the killer is a mutant combination of an alligator and a bear. Coincidentally, the O.S.I.R.'s chemist, Sandra Miles (Lindsay Collins), discovers nearby a high-tech genetic research corporation, raising the possibility that the phenomenon is a man-made experiment gone wrong. Rene St. Cyr (Marie-Clare Legault), an officer of the French Military assigned to provide security for the O.S.I.R., feels that they should be concentrating on destroying the creature rather than trying to capture it. When two of her soldiers are attacked and killed in the course of protecting the O.S.I.R. investigative team, she threatens to pull the military's support. The O.S.I.R.'s Case Manager, Professor Conner Doyle (Paul Miller) leads the O.S.I.R. team of investigators down into the dark depth of the sewers. Before long, the O.S.I.R., armed only with tranquilizer guns, find themselves face to face with the phenomenon. Episode Seven - Part Two Written by: Sherman Snukal Jardine County, Pennsylvania, USA The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) set up surveillance on a farm after strange occurrences follows a grisly accident in which a farmer, Matt Peck (Ken James) loses his arm. The O.S.I.R. team interviews Matt's son Brad (Sean Doyle) who tells them his father was a physically active man who has not been able to accept the loss of his arm. During an interview with Matt's wife, Sarah (Sheila Brand), she confesses that she was once walking by Matt's side when she stumbled and felt an invisible, but comforting hand steady her. After a week of testing, Case Manager Curtis Rollins (Maurice Dean Wint) asks for Matt's permission to continue their research. Matt, upset with the O.S.I.R.'s presence on the farm, accidentally knocks over a glass of beer that, instead of falling off the table, hurls across the room. This incident, which is caught on thermal image videotape, reveals an energy form that coalesces into the shape of an arm. Matt refuses to believe that he is responsible for this unnatural event. The O.S.I.R. explain that they can help Matt control his power if they can just continue to work with him. Matt refuses and orders the investigators to leave his farm. Just as the team is about to depart, Matt enters the barn to find his grandson, Joshua (Curtis Parker), hanging from a beam high above the ground. Without hesitation, Matt climbs up to the rafter, desperate to reach his grandson before he is seriously injured. Episode Eight - Part One Written by Damian Kindler Toronto, Ontario, Canada After a woman, Rita Naimand (Dee Dee Langford), terrorizes attendees at a synagogue, the Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) is summoned to investigate the possibility that she is possessed by a dybbuk, an ancient Judaic demon. The O.S.I.R. team is called in by Rabbi Reuben Rothstein (Peter Dvorsky) and find Rita Naimand in a strange state of semi-consciousness. Members of the congregation testify to Rita's superhuman strength when they restrained her. One witness, Carl Lowenbaum (Jack Duffy), insists that Rita has been possessed by a dybbuk with the ability to transfer from a host body to another and can only be exorcized by a Rabbi's performing the ancient Hebrew Baal Sham ritual. Case Manager Professor Donnor Doyle (Paul Miller) allows Rabbi Rothstein to perform the Baal Sham ritual after scientific tests prove inconclusive. During the rite, Rita begins writhing, shaking and screaming and a flare of light seems to emit from her eye that grows into a blinding flash. When the smoke clears, the O.S.I.R. team finds that Rita is dead and the Rabbi has disappeared. They track the Rabbi through the city using bio-statistical monitors and find him lying dead in the middle of a street. Witnesses say he was hit by a taxi, the driver of which fled frantically on foot. When they learn that the taxi driver, Antonio Valenzuela (Tony Cordiero) has a young daughter -- a dybbuk's ideal host body -- the O.S.I.R. investigators instantly realize they must reach her before the demon does. Episode Eight - Part Two Written by Ian Weir Northern Ontario, Canada The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) is called in to investigate Doug Kilmartin (Matthew Ferguson) and Barry Strother (Joel Keller), two men who claim to have instantly aged 50 years after passing through a barren area in a forest. Although tests are run on the area and no traces of hazardous materials or toxic gases are found, nor any unusual geomagnetic or geothermal activity, the O.S.I.R. notices that a bird flying into the barren area ages and becomes a skeleton within seconds. The O.S.I.R. confirms that the two men are 21-year-old tree planters. They were able to escape the "dead zone". Their friend and co-worker, Katie Fitzgerald (Brigitte Kingsley) was not as fortunate. The O.S.I.R. investigators discover her badly decomposing body still in the area. After performing a series of tests, they conclude that Katie died of old age. After Strother suddenly dies of old age and with no idea how much longer his sole remaining subject Kilmartin will live, Case Manager Professor Conner Doyle (Paul Miller) knows that the O.S.I.R. must act quickly and find some answers to the questions surrounding this phenomenon. Episode Nine - Part One Written by Robert Cooper Patterson County, Kansas, USA The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) investigates Joan Hill's (Paula Barrett) claim that aliens cloned her fish, her hamster, her dog - and, finally, her son, Kyle (Gil Filar). Case Manager Professor Conner Doyle (Paul Miller) and the O.S.I.R. team arrive to find that Hill, who claims she has only one son, Kyle, now has two sons named Kyle who not only appear identical but, according to initial tests, share exactly the same memories and points of view. Their DNA, blood samples, and voice and finger prints are also found to match. Under hypnosis, Hill and "both" sons reveal that aliens are responsible for the cloning. When one of the goldfish and one of the hamsters die, questions arise surrounding the future safety of the boys and dogs. Autopsies reveal that the deaths are a result of immune system failures. In reviewing the physiological test data O.S.I.R. psychobiologist Lindsay Donner (Nancy Anne Sakovich) discovers that one of each of the boys and animals lacks vital T-cells necessary to fight viral infections. The demise of one of the boys and one of the dogs is simply a matter of time, but the O.S.I.R. is uncertain if it was the clones or the originals who died. When one of the dogs contracts tuberculosis, Doyle becomes convinced of the urgent need to protect Kyle's health and orders the T-cell deficient boy to undergo a bone marrow transplant. Episode Nine - Part Two Written by Will Dixon Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) investigates Belinda Preston's (Catherine Colvey) claim that an apparition of a young girl is communicating with her daughter, Clara (Kristin Fairlite). The O.S.I.R. arrives and finds that Belinda met Clara's friend, Bobbie (Lucia Graca), not realizing she was an apparition. Case Manager Dr. Curtis Rollins (Maurice Dean Wint) learns that Clara's parents have noticed a distinctly positive change in their previously reclusive daughter, but nevertheless want the strange phenomenon ended. During an inspection of the house, Bobbie appears to the O.S.I.R. investigators but never registers on their scientific equipment. When Clara relays one of her conversations with Bobbie, the investigators realize, because of her dialogue, that Bobbie is an old spirit from the early to mid-20th century. The O.S.I.R's psyche biologist Lindsay Donner (Nancy Anne Sakovich) interviews a woman, Dawn Hinton (Anna-Louise Richardson), whose great grandmother, Barbara Winston (Jessica Booker), known as Bobbie, once owned the Preston home and entered a coma the same time that Clara's friend first appeared. When the O.S.I.R. discovers an old home movie featuring a young Bobbie, they conclude that Clara's young friend and the old woman's spirit are the same. The team sets up a dangerous experiment to try, via Clara, to lure Bobbie's spirit back to her body - unsure of how it will affect the comatose subject. Episode Ten - Part One Written by Damian Kindler Dexter County, Indiana, USA The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research is called in after a farmer, George Collins (Michael Copeman), claims to have witnessed a creature resembling a half-man, half-wolf on his property. Believing that this animal is responsible for a recent string of livestock mutilations, a search party is formed. As they comb the back woods for the creature, a volunteer, Ray Velez (Ray Paisley), is brutally mauled to death. Case Manager Professor Conner Doyle (Paul Miller) and the O.S.I.R. team arrive. The O.S.I.R.'s zoologist L. Q. Cooper (Peter Blais) discovers that the mutilated cattle are missing their hearts. He further discovers a set of wolf tracks that mysteriously transform into human footprints. Doyle sets up surveillance on Collins' farm, using a herd of livestock as bait to lure the beast out of hiding. Just when everyone believes that the phenomenon may not recur, Sheriff Harrison Reed (Matt Cooke) is viciously attacked and killed when he stops to inspect a cattle carcass on the side of the highway. The O.S.I.R. team realizes that all the incidents occurred during a full moon. Only two days remain with a full moon on the lunar cycle and Doyle realizes that the O.S.I.R. must step up their efforts to put an end to this ferocious phenomenon. Equipped with night-vision goggles, motion scanner and handguns, the investigators try once again to lure the alleged beast out of the wild. But who is the hunter and who is the prey? Episode Ten - Part Two Written by Larry Raskin Chickahoma, Tennessee, USA The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) attempts to scientifically validate the abilities of 16-year-old Duwayne Morris (Thomas Chovanec) after he miraculously heals a severe burn victim, Russell Wilson (James Vezina), by merely laying his hands on him. The O.S.I.R.'s Case Manager, Professor Conner Doyle (Paul Miller), arranges for the team to covertly monitor a "healing fair" that Duwayne's mother, Marsha (Brenda Devine) has organized. From within a barn, Duwayne performs miracles on those awaiting his touch, while his mother collects a fee for her son's services. The flow of miracles is disrupted by a severely injured girl (Linley Swain) who has been rushed to Duwayne after falling from a horse. Without a moment of hesitation, Duwayne rushes out of the barn, lays his hands on the girl's battered head and heals her in front of amazed witnesses. The next day, Duwayne suddenly collapses during one of his healing sessions at the fair. Hospital tests reveal that he is inexplicably displaying the myriad of symptoms of all the afflictions he has healed. With time working against them, the O.S.I.R. scrambles to understand Duwayne's condition before the boy's life-saving miracles become a life-ending tragedy. Episode Eleven - Part One Written by Will Dixon El Anfushi Bay, Alexandria, Egypt The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) investigates the mysterious deaths of a team of archaeologists who recently uncovered an ancient Egyptian burial chamber. Their discovery is linked to a curse found in hieroglyphics on a wall within the tomb that warns, "All those who disturb this tomb will die." Site leader Frederick Roberts (Juan Chioran) is the only survivor among those who entered the tomb. Why the two other members of the team, Geena Fakhry (Stavroula Logothettis) and Hran Jamal (Hrant Alianak) were also spared remains a mystery. Geena and Hran reveal to the O.S.I.R. that they dreamed of the god Anubis, whose statue lies within the tomb and who, in the dream, warned them of the fatal curse. The O.S.I.R. learns that all the victims died from internal brain hemorrhaging. Geena tries to convince Roberts to return the artifacts back to the tomb to end the curse. Roberts, who seems to be recovering from his ordeal, skeptically dismisses Geena's concerns, then suddenly meets the same sudden, tragic fate as the others. Case Manager Conner Doyle (Paul Miller) fears losing one of his own team members and, instead, sends in a probe. The mechanical device records no paranormal activity, but the O.S.I.R. discovers that the tomb does not contain a corpse, although it obviously has not been looted by grave-robbers. The baffled team turns to the warehouse of artifacts to search for more clues. There, Hran sees the living figure of Anubis. Terrified, he tries to escape but falls down a staircase and dies - of a brain hemorrhage. Doyle knows that the answer to this curse lies inside the burial chamber. Dressed in protective hazardous material suits, Lindsay Donner (Nancy Anne Sakovich) leads an O.S.I.R. team into the tomb with a mission to gather evidence that will put an end to the dreaded curse. Meanwhile Geena, the only remaining archaeology team members, awaits what she believes is her sealed fate. Will the O.S.I.R. be able to stop a 3,000-year-old curse before it claims more victims? Episode Eleven - Part Two Written by Ian Weir Plansburg, New York, USA A private jet is disabled by lightning during a freak electrical storm. Pilot Jim Graves (Craig Gardner) and co-pilot Jarvis Parks (James Keel) are electrocuted. The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) investigates the passengers' and crew's claim that they witnessed a mysterious woman (Angela Usher) safely land the plane. The O.S.I.R.'s Dr. Anton Hendricks (Colin Fox) hypnotizes Graves, who was revived by the mysterious woman, Martin Cole (Dave Nichols), his personal assistant Diane (Marianna Pascal), and flight attendant, Mary O'Brien (Kari Matchett), only to discover that the witnesses' stories do not match. Dr. Hendricks believes that the co-pilot, Parks, may have the key to unlock the mystery of the landing. Unfortunately, Parks remains in critical condition and may not survive. The O.S.I.R.'s Peter Axon is baffled because the lightning should have crippled the landing gear and the radio, which were both operational when the plane touched down. As for the mysterious woman, the cabin was still pressurized upon arrival. Consequently, no one could have entered or exited the plane. Still more unusual is the discovery that the airfield was a military landing site during World War II where a plane crashed in 1945 as a result of lightning, leaving no survivors. Soon after Doyle orders the monitoring of all the witnesses, the O.S.I.R. notices Mary speaking to someone in Parks' hospital room. While the monitors show only her and Parks, O'Brien claims to see the mysterious woman from the plane wearing a 1940s nurse's uniform and tending to Parks. Will Parks, like Graves, be spared in a case of the past coming back to save the future? Episode Twelve - Part One Written by Sherman Snukal Chaco Canyon, New Mexico, USA Archaeologist Simon Bonito (Peter Gaudreault), and two associates Paul (Mark Burgess) and Darren (Don Carrier) discover the remains of a single hut belonging to the ancient Anasazi Indian Tribe. The discovery could illuminate the mysterious disappearance of the Tribe 300 years ago. But upon entering the cavernous chamber hidden behind a wall, Darren and Paul both choke violently and die. The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) arrive and learn that two Disease Control Center (DCC) agents wearing hazardous material gear also died within the cave. According to an autopsy report, all four men mysteriously suffered massive internal hemorrhaging and severe rupturing of the organs. The O.S.I.R. are confounded since no chemical or biological substance known to man could penetrate the DCC protective suits. That evening Bonito, a descendant of the Anasazi, dreams that an Indian woman beckons him to follow her into the chamber. The next day, Bonito arrives at the cave in a trance-like state and, unable to resist his compulsion, enters the chamber. An operative tries to retrieve him, but dies in the attempt. Bonito wakes from his trance to realize that he is standing safely inside the deadly chamber. Meanwhile, the O.S.I.R. learns that Anasazi folklore teaches that a god led the Tribe to a peaceful time and place, preventing evil-doers from following them by leaving a guard at the doorway to destroy all those that threatened their way of life. Bonito agrees to equip himself with monitoring gear and re-enter the cave. Whether this is a brave attempt to prevent further tragedy or a compulsion he can no longer contain, Bonito knows that he may be the key needed to unlock the mystery of the Anasazi Tribe. Episode Twelve - Part Two Written by Damian Kindler Island of Bermuda Lawyer Joey Veloz (Stuart Hughes) and his client, Sonny Brasco (Robert Kennedy), set sail on a boat cruise through the Bermuda Triangle. When Joey returns alone to port, he claims they floated aimlessly without provisions for three weeks. But, in fact, only five days have passed since their departure and Joey's passenger, Brasco, has disappeared. The Coast Guard confirms Veloz's departure time and medical tests indicate he was exposed to the elements for three weeks. The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) discover that Veloz's polygraph tests verify his story about sailing into a strange storm before losing power of the boat and its instruments. The O.S.I.R.'s Peter Axon (Barclay Hope) examines the boat's equipment and finds virtually all equipment inoperable. The O.S.I.R. believes Veloz may have perpetrated the story to cover up the murder of Brasco for a Columbian drug cartel. The O.S.I.R. think they have uncovered a clever murder plot, until data indicates a recent tropical storm in the questioned area. If a storm really occurred and Veloz is telling the truth, then Brasco could still be alive. Case Manager Professor Conner Doyle (Paul Miller) leads his team into the Bermuda Triangle. This will be Doyle's sixth expedition into the zone. Doyle confesses to the O.S.I.R.'s Lindsay Donner (Nancy Anne Sakovich) that he had a bizarre encounter in the Bermuda Triangle while serving in the Navy. When it was over, only he and the Executive Officer survived. Unfortunately, the Navy suppressed his report. Two days drift by before the team locate a mysterious, dark mass. They sail directly into the phenomenon that has plagued Doyle for 15 years. Will they find Brasco, the truth behind one of the world's most mystifying phenomenon, or a fate much worse? Episode Thirteen - Part One Written by Will Dixon Hamilton, Ontario, Canada While searching for a place to spend the night, two street kids, Darien (Robin Dunne) and Melissa (Emmanuelle Chriqui), find a corpse in an alley. Coroner Sally Torrance (Fiona Highet) is horrified and faints when she witnesses the John Doe's "rebirth" during the autopsy. Darren and Melissa claim the corpse resembles a street person who allegedly died two weeks earlier. Armed with only a photograph of the missing body and the street youths' testimony, the Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) begin their search at a local mission. The O.S.I.R.'s Dr. Anton Hendricks (Colin Fox) receives no helpful information from the mission's proprietor Aubrey Le Selles (Philip Akin). As Hendricks takes note that Le Selles' sister, Adelina (Jenni Burke), has several voodoo items on display around the mission, a zombie-like stranger wanders into the kitchen. Darren and Melissa are horrified as they identify him as the missing corpse - and the two-week-old dead street person. Unfortunately, the undernourished, once-dead stranger is suffering from amnesia. The O.S.I.R. matches soil found on the body in the morgue with a sample taken from the stranger's clothing. The soil is then traced to a cemetery where they take the drifter in hopes of triggering his memory. Without reason, he breaks into a run and stops at the tombstone of Cary Edwin Hicks, born February 20, 1962, died September 2, 1996. The O.S.I.R. remove the coffin from the plot, find that it is empty and that it appears to have been dug out from the inside. Autopsy photos are used to positively identify the stranger as Cary Hicks (Sten Eirik), but the O.S.I.R. is baffled by this man who has apparently died twice. Hendricks believes that zombification may explain this phenomenon. The O.S.I.R. tries to find out who created the re-animated man. Could his visit to Aubrey's kitchen be connected to Hicks' strange purgatory? Episode Thirteen - Part Two Written by Alex Pugsley Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Actress Jackie Kinley (Kristin Lehman), star of the cult movie The Marriage of Julie Bright, is terrified when she encounters Corben Dean (John Ralston), a fan convicted of stalking her and who is supposed to be in prison. Dean mysteriously vanishes but later appears in the middle of the road while she is driving her car. Instead of striking her tormentor, the car passes right through him. The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) learn that Dean's adoration for Kinley and her cult classic film turned obsessive and violent. He had stolen many props from the film that he watched an astonishing 65 times. Dean's sick obsession eventually earned him five years in prison for aggravated assault and the attempted murder of Kinley. Case Manager Conner Doyle (Paul Miller) discovers that prison officials granted Dean early release after he suffered a massive heart attack. Doyle and the O.S.I.R.'s Lindsay Dormer (Nancy Anne Sakovich) track Dean's last address to a trailer-home. There they find mail addressed to R. K. Kelly. Just when they think that they are on the wrong trail, they discover numerous movie posters from The Marriage of Julie Bright and a newspaper with a section missing that lists the filming location of Kinley's latest project. The O.S.I.R.'s Dr. Anton Hendricks (Colin Fox) explains the phenomenon as an entity broadcasting a telepathic signal to Kinley who, in turn, casts it into Dean's apparition. Is Corben Dean stalking her from beyond the grave? Episode Fourteen - Part One Written by Damian Kindler Fraser Valley, British Columbia, Canada Alone in the isolated woods a logger, Jacquard (Thomas Mitchell), steps into a hidden leg trap. As he hangs helplessly upside down, six feet off the ground, a seven foot humanoid animal approaches him. Two hours later, Jacquard's co-workers find him still hanging from the tree, terrified and hysterical. The men stand stunned as they witness the beast escape through the forest. The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research's (O.S.I.R.) zoologist L. Q. Cooper (Peter Blais) confirms that the prints found under the tree are too large for any animal indigenous to the area. Moreover, adding to the mystery, he finds not one, but two, sets of prints. The O.S.I.R. theorizes that this phenomenon could be a hoax staged by the environmental group, Planet Alert, to scare off the loggers building a road through the forest. Conversely, it could be a ploy by the loggers to scare the protestors away so they can continue their work without being harassed. While searching the forest, the O.S.I.R. finds Nancy Byatt (Beverly Cooper), a Planet Alert member recently ejected from the group as a result of her radical views. She is slumped against a tree - eyes wide in shock, severely scratched and gripping a camcorder in her hand. After Byatt is rushed to hospital, the O.S.I.R. views the video footage from the camera which reveals a man-beast in the distance, while a second beast unexpectedly attacks Byatt from the side. Later, the loggers witness the creature again, after it had ravaged the work shed and destroyed much of their equipment. They are furious that this destruction will slow the construction of the road by a month or more. The authorities arrest the protestors, believing they are responsible for the incident. Amidst this palpable tension, the O.S.I.R. continues to conduct their investigation. Is the carnage a clever hoax or the work of an unknown animal species whose existence is waiting to be verified? Episode Fourteen - Part Two Written by Peter Aykroyd & Christopher Chacon Edmonton, Alberta, Canada & Chicago, Illinois, USA Garth Lindenaur (Michael Filipowich) undergoes regressive hypnosis. Amazingly, he experiences a future life, the life of Ian Vethamany (Sugith Varughese). The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.T.R.) discovers that Vethamany is a The O.S.I.R.'s Case Manager Conner Doyle (Paul Miller) visits Vethamany, hoping to lure him into a regressive hypnosis session. Lindenaur predicts that Vethamany will be arrested for fraud while this meeting takes place. Unfortunately, Doyle's unexpected presence alters the future and the broker manages to escape from the authorities. The O.S.I.R. discovers that their intervention has had strange and unpredictable ramifications. Lindenaur's girlfriend leaves him and he loses his job. The O.S.I.R. suspects that his future was changed when Vethamany managed to escape. They ask Lindenaur to help them catch Vethamany in hopes of restoring the natural pattern of Lindenaur' s life. The O.S.I.R. fears the dangers of knowing the future; what will be the consequences of altering future events? Episode Fifteen - Part One Written by Damian Kindler Beaconsfield, Quebec, Canada When Cole Conacher (Richard Donat) enters his son Greg's (Jeremy Tract) bedroom, he is horrified to find him being attacked by a conglomeration of plants. He quickly frees his son from the vines that are choking him. The Conacher family is evacuated from their home where the plants seem to be taking over. When the Office of Scientific Investigation and Research' s (O.S.I.R.) Lindsay Donner (Nancy Anne Sakovich) tries to take a sample of the violent vegetation, a vine wraps itself tightly around her wrist in an apparently hostile reaction. Instinctively, colleague Peter Axon (Barclay Hope) sprays the plant with liquid nitrogen and freezes it. Donner's arm is released and she manages to retrieve a small sample of the flora. Laboratory analysis reveals that the multitude of botanical species that make up the plant life contains organic waste from unidentified foreign matter. To determine the nature of this waste, the investigators must retrieve another sample of the plants. The O.S.I.R.'s Case Manager Conner Doyle (Paul Miller) and his team return to find that the plants have spread throughout the entire house. Donner narrowly escapes once again after securing another sample of the foliage. Secondary analysis of the shrub sample shows that a hybrid of microscopic parasites is inhabiting the plants. The O.S.I.R. discovers that the waste from these parasites is acting as a powerful fertilizer, enabling the plants to grow at a phenomenal rate . When further attempts to analyze the plants prove too dangerous, the O.S.I.R. decides to reap the seemingly vengeful garden. How will the belligerent foliage fight back? Episode Fifteen - Part Two Written by Sherman Snukal Cranbrook, Montana, USA Randi Hartley (Marnie McPhail) is alarmed when her daughter Sally (Jennifer Pisana) complains about a deafening buzzing sound that is inaudible to others, and her husband Ernest (Kerry Dorey) has a sudden, violent respiratory attack. During this ordeal, Randi discovers that her home is infested with hundreds of rats. The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) discovers that the rats are the source of a respiratory virus that is killing the townspeople. The buzzing sound remains unexplained, however, and there seems to be no apparent link between the two phenomena. Using sound amplification equipment, the O.S.I.R. team traces the high pitch buzzing to a maze of sewage tunnels located below the town. They determine that the sound can be heard by rats and a quarter of the human population. The O.S.I.R.'s Conner Doyle (Paul Miller) and Peter Axon (Barclay Hope) track the sound to an unusual man-made device which they find is owned and operated by a computer company called Digiknight Industries. A company spokesperson, Jim Burns (Linsday Merrithew), claims the device was created to repel the rodents which have caused a serious productivity problem at their microchip plant. The two investigators are suspicious of Digiknight's ethics when Bums offers company assistance to those affected - but only in return for their confidentiality regarding the scandalous situation. Further investigation reveals that Burns was lying about the objective of the transmission. Not a rodent repellent at all, the sound is actually a highly complex code - but what information is being secretly transmitted and to whom? Episode Sixteen - (One-hour) Written by Will Dixon St. Paul, Minnesota, USA After shooting Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) Case Manager Dr. Curtis Rollins (Maurice Dean Wint), an unknown man hurls himself off a bridge and disappears into the depths of a river. Rollins is rushed to the hospital where he is pronounced clinically dead but doctors manage to revive him. Arriving at the hospital to check on Rollins, the O.S.I.R.'s Peter Axon (Barclay Hope) is confused to see him leaving the hospital in apparent good health. The O.S.I.R.'s Director of Operations, Frank Elsinger (Nigel Bennett), explains to the investigating team that Rollins spent time working with the Federal Serial Killer Profiling Unit on the case of the infamous White Crow Killer (WCK). Suspecting the WCK is responsible for shooting Rollins, the FBI gets involved after two dead bodies are found bearing wounds suggesting identical modus operandi. Following a second sighting of Rollins, the O.S.I.R. investigators review a hospital security tape and confirm that a "Rollins duplicate" left the hospital while Rollins was still in intensive care. When Case Manager Conner Doyle (Paul Miller) and his team interview Rollins, they discover he has lost all memory concerning his work on the WCK. By studying FBI files, the O.S.I.R. team learn that the WCK abducts victims and performs experiments to gather information about the afterlife. Meanwhile, the O.S.I.R.'s Dr. Anton Hendricks (Colin Fox) theorizes that Rollins had an out-of-body experience during which his corporeal self somehow duplicated. Rollins' life-saving physician, Dr. Katherine Burr (Colette Stevenson), is kidnaped and the WCK's signature phrase, "Discover The Light", is found painted on her office wall. Surprisingly, the FBT, conclude that the handwriting does not match previous WCK crime scenes. Soon afterward, the FBI find the dead body of Dr. Stanley Forbes (Leon Pownall), a.k.a. the WCK,
washed up on the banks of the river where Rollins was shot. Upon discovering Rollins' fingerprints in Dr. Burr's office, the FBI give the O.S.I.R. just 24 hours to solve the crime before they continue their own investigation, beginning with their prime Episode Seventeen - Part One Written by Jean Hurtubise Manhattan, New York, USA An elevator carrying Olivia Vega (Leah Pinsent) and elevator attendant Ken Todd (Greg Spottiswood) mysteriously stops at the 13th floor. Suddenly, Vega's eyes turn blood red and she violently attacks Todd. When the attack is over, Todd lies battered as Vega leaves the elevator and returns to her penthouse, unaware of what has taken place. Back in her apartment, Vega finds her adulterous husband John (Booth Savage). An argument between the two triggers another violent spell and she hurls her husband violently against the wall, rendering him unconscious. The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) investigators are astonished as they watch a tape of the first incident captured by elevator security cameras. The O.S.I.R.'s Conner Doyle (Paul Miller) and Lindsay Donner (Nancy Anne Sakovich) then attempt to rescue John who is being held hostage in the apartment by his wife. Assuming Donner is one of John's lovers, Olivia blasts the investigator with a bolt of energy emanating from her hand. Doyle manages to shoot Olivia with a tranquilizer gun that temporarily sedates her. Fearful of what may happen when Olivia awakens, they leave her alone in the apartment while they take John to safety. Later, Olivia threatens to destroy several city blocks unless her husband is returned to the penthouse so she can administer her own deadly punishment for his mistreatment of her. How will the O.S.I.R. be able to deal with this uncontrollably powerful woman? Episode Seventeen - Part Two Written by Damian Kindler Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA During an important presentation, Professor Leon Schraft (Daniel Kash) experiences a mental flash of his wife, Helen (Wanda Cannon), struggling with an assailant. During this spell, his hand is compelled to scrawl a scientific symbol and the words "I will kill her" on a piece of paper. After confirming that Helen is mysteriously missing, the Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) investigates Leon's claim that his wife's captor is communicating with him through some extrasensory means. Preliminary analysis reveals that the scribbled message does not match samples of Leon's handwriting. A few days into the investigation, Leon is jolted from his troubled sleep by further flashes of Helen in peril. He walks in a trance to the bathroom where he scribbles "Assimilation = Death" and "1125" in lipstick on the mirror. While attempting to locate who might be sending the messages, the O.S.I.R. discovers a videotape of a talk show on which Leon appeared as a guest. The second guest, Earl Comeli (Julian Richings), claimed to have psychic abilities and was espousing his belief that aliens are conspiring to assimilate mankind through psychic powers. Leon embarrassed Cornell by quickly dismissing his incredulous claims. Augmentation of the tape provides a close-up of Cornell' s ring which bears the symbol Leon was compelled to scribble during his first vision. The O.S.I.R.'s Peter Axon (Barclay Hope) theorizes that Leon may be privy to remote viewing - the ability to see beyond the five known senses. Leon receives a letter from Helen which contains Cornell's instruction that Leon appear on television to warn the public of the assimilation threat or Helen will be killed. Knowing that time is of the essence, the O.S.I.R. implores Leon to use his psychic powers to help them uncover the whereabouts of Corneli and Helen. Episode Eighteen - Part One Written by Robert C. Cooper Flatrock Maximum Security Prison The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) is called to investigate a mysterious fog and reports of hallucinations among inmates and guards at a maximum security prison. The two occurrences coincide with the arrival of Hedeon Mishenka (Geordie Johnson), a brutal serial killer who claims to have killed 100 people. Another prisoner, Viktor Kozlov (Ross Manson), is terrified that Mishenka has come to kill him because of a family incident dating back to their days in Russia. The O.S.I.R.'s Lindsay Donner (Nancy Anne Sakovich) learns that Mishenka is known by many as the "Angel of Death" Meanwhile, prison guard Mark Sullivan (Scott Gibson) accidentally kills another guard when he hallucinates and mistakes the victim for Mishenka. A fog sample analysis reveals traces of several common industrial pollutants and one unidentifiable element. Believing there is a link between the fog, the hallucinations and Mishenka, Donner convinces Case Manager Conner Doyle (Paul Miller) to allow her to interview the prisoner. During their interview, Kozlov kills a prison guard who enters his cell, believing him to be Mishenka. With tensions running high, and still no explanation for the fatal hallucinations, Doyle authorizes a second Donner-Mishenka session. This time, Mishenka wears brain-mapping equipment. As the interview unfolds, the density of the fog escalates until the entire prison is covered in a thick shroud. The prison's main generator fails, resulting in a blackout. The electronic lock on Mishenka's cell seals Donner into the room. Is this a sample of Mishenka's ominous powers or a common criminal's clever escape plan? Episode Eighteen - Part Two Written by Chris Dickie Seattle, Washington, USA A young couple, Adam (Kevin Hicks) and Lauren Cooke (Joy Tanner), witness a vaguely humanoid entity in their home. It appears a second time to Lauren just as her husband is mysteriously locked inside a nearby room. Adam escapes his confinement and arrives just moments after the entity disappears. The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) investigates the alleged anomalous kinetic activity and discovers that the couple is experiencing enormous stress as a result of difficulties within their marriage. When Adam encounters the entity again, Lauren becomes convinced that the ordeal will end once the couple leaves their haunted home. Adam states emphatically that leaving their home is not an option. Coincidentally, the O.S.I.R. find that Lauren's old boyfriend, Mark Zane (Santino Budo), has recently contacted her. The O.S.I.R.'s Lindsay Donner (Nancy Anne Sakovich) visits the flirtatious Zane to gather information. Lauren spots Zane with Donner and, unaware that she is merely on a fact finding mission for the O.S.I.R., storms off in a jealous rage. When Lauren then sees Donner in her home. the investigator is mysteriously hurled against a wall and levitated above the floor. Then, as suddenly as it begins, the attack end. Are Lauren's mixed emotions involuntarily causing the entity that threatens to wreck her marriage, and is love the cure? Episode Nineteen - Part One Written by Sherman Snukal Clifford, Missouri, USA Returning home from her doctor's office, recovering kidney transplant recipient Andrea Best (Robin Brule) spots a familiar-looking man standing on the street. After talking to the man, Hazen McKay (Frank Pellegrino), and establishing that they have not met before, Andrea experiences a psychic flash of a beautiful woman wearing a torn red dress. This flash is followed by a second vision which actually materializes: an octagonal symbol burnt into a brick wall. Trying to find a reason for Andrea's experience, the Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) visits her cousin Leslie Norvell (Andrew Sebaston), the donor of the kidney that saved Andrea's life. They learn that Norvell had previously received a double cornea transplant and, coincidentally, both transplant recipients are currently taking Salpharene, a drug only recently approved for general use. Before leaving Norvell, the investigators spot the same octagonal image that Andrea described from her visions in one of the pieces Norvell is painting. The O.S.I.R.'s Dr. Anton Hendricks (Colin Fox) theorizes that Salpherene could be passing memories from Norvell to Andrea. The O.S.I.R. discovers that Norvell's cornea donor was Eileen McKay, a woman who died the previous year after an accidental fall. Andrea and the investigators visit Eileen's husband - the same man Andrea thought she recognized earlier - Hazen McKay. Apart from Andrea and Hazen sharing their unusual experiences, the two now find themselves in the beginning stages of a relationship - but McKay is disturbed by the detailed extent of Andrea's visions. Meanwhile, Norvell, in a trance-like state, paints as if possessed until he awakes to notice a horrible scene in his art that compels him to call the O.S.I.R. for help. Will Andrea inherit a memory via Norvell, revealing the terrible truth about Eileen's mysterious, accidental death? How will it affect Andrea's own safety? Episode Nineteen - Part Two Written by Will Dixon North York, Ontario, Ontario Shawn (Bruce McFee) and Carolyn Starling (Mimi Kuzyk) try to rescue their daughter, Jill (A. J. Cooke), from Bruce Farrell (James Gallanders), a charismatic cult leader. The Starlings track Jill to a parking lot and encounter Farrell with Jill and his other acolytes. For no readily apparent reason, Carolyn, too, is seduced by Farrell. The rescue attempt fails as an irate Shawn leads his dazed wife away. When the Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) is called in to aid the Starlings, they learn that Shawn wants to kidnap his daughter and have her deprogrammed. He also tells them that Jill has sent a letter to her parents demanding $3,000. Case Manager Conner Doyle (Paul Miller) suggests the family pay the money so the O.S.I.R. can follow Farrell back to his hideout. Doyle sends in Lindsay Donner (Nancy Anne Sakovich) undercover to meet Farrell. Donner, like the others, succumbs to Farrell's mind control. Fortunately, the O.S.I.R.'s Dr. Claire Linda Davison (Soo Garay) intervenes before Farrell manages to lure Donner back to his compound. Donner swears she has no recollection of the events. Without the O.S.I.R.'s knowledge, Jill's parents hire a deprogrammer and kidnap their daughter. Moments after leaving Farrell's lair, Jill experiences a mysterious seizure and collapses. She is rushed to the hospital where Davison examines her and determines she is dying from an excess of endorphins in her system. When Amanda (Katie Griffin), another follower of Farrell, also collapses and falls into a coma, Donner courageously offers to go back to the hideout to confront Farrell. Will Donner be able to resist this Svengali's power and rescue these mind prisoners before the situation escalates into another cult tragedy? Episode Twenty - Part One Written by Richard Oleksiak Coleman, Montana, USA A group of ranchers, George Leeds (Philip Craig), Bob Guthrie (Chris Benson), Alvin McLaren (Howard Hoover), Dean Mathews (Tom Bishop) and Martin Shaw (James Kidnie) meet for their weekly game of poker. George, suddenly feeling warm, heads to the kitchen for some ice. His body begins to smoke and then bursts into flames, consuming itself within seconds. Hearing George's screams, the other men rush into the kitchen where they find only ashes and charred body parts. The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) interviews each of the witnesses but finds no evidence of anything unusual and medical tests of the ashes offer no additional clues. The O.S.I.R.'s Peter Axon (Barclay Hope) suggests that a lightning quick subatomic chain reaction instantly dehydrated George's body. This may explain what happened to the rancher, but it does not explain why. At George's wake, Dean experiences the same terror when his arm bursts into flames. Horrified, the other ranchers douse the fire and rush Dean to the hospital. Blood tests on all the ranchers indicate the existence of nanites in Dean, George and Martin Shaw. These nanites are microscopic robots manufactured on a molecular level - until then believed to be in laboratory test stages only. They have the capability to deconstruct and rebuild human molecular structure, causing the chemical reaction Axon referred to in his theory. While recovering, Dean erupts into flames in his hospital bed - this time he does not survive. The O.S.I.R. locates Shaw and tries to warn him about the nanites in his system. Shaw, afraid that the investigators are searching for more information than he is willing to disclose, panics and runs. After they capture him, the O.S.I.R. questions Shaw in a safe house and are astonished at the secretive rancher's claim to be an undercover U.S. government agent. Doyle becomes furious when Shaw asks for the O.S.I.R.'s elusive Director of Operations, Frank Elsinger (Nigel Bennett), who he claims can explain everything. What role did the O.S.I.R. and U.S. government play in these two tragic cases of human spontaneous combustion? Episode Twenty - Part Two Written by Damian Kindler Columbus, Ohio, USA Sixteen-year-old Corey Stillman (Amos Crawley) and Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) members Conner Doyle (Paul Miller), Lindsay Donner (Nancy Anne Sakovich) and Dr. Anton Hendricks (Colin Fox) attend the funeral of Alex Harper (Adam Bonneau), Stillman's best friend. Compelled by the loss of his friend, Stillman agrees to help the O.S.I.R. retrace and understand the events which tragically ended Alex's life. Before leaving, Stillman's psychic powers enable him to hear what others at the funeral are thinking - that he is guilty for Harper's death. Two months earlier, the boys had been relative outcasts in their high school - Stillman a reclusive A-student and Harper a restless delinquent. Stillman realized that Harper needed to improve his grades and offered his psychic powers to help him. Harper's drastic educational improvement did not go unnoticed by faculty and students. High school bully, Chandler (Leif Anderson) and his thugs began to beat Harper until Stillman agreed to help Chandler to improve his marks. The O.S.I.R. set up undercover surveillance within the school. Then Stillman received a subliminal flashback in which he saw Harper dead. The O.S.I.R., realizing that Stillman was confused and afraid, identified themselves as authorities and offered him help. The frightened student accepted, having no one else in whom to confide. Why couldn't the O.S.I.R. use Stillman's telepathic and precognitive powers to cheat fate and save Harper's life? Episode Twenty-One - Part One Written by Jeremy Hole Bell Island Dr. Raymond Axon (Leslie Yee) tends to Melanie Bannion (Alison Woolridge), the eighth person on tiny Bell Island to come down with a mysterious illness. Melanie knows she is destined to die at sunset just like the others before her. The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) is called in to investigate the cause of the deadly illness. Their arrival on Bell Island marks the first time in eight years that Peter Axon (Barclay Hope) has been back to the place where he was born and raised, and where his estranged father still resides. Upon his arrival, he and the others are greeted by Annie Ryan (Fiona Byrne), Axon's childhood sweetheart, who offers to aid the investigation. The O.S.I.R. learns that the locals blame the deaths on an ancient curse from the Eriksson Stones, nine Stonehenge-like rocks that date back to the time of Norse explorers. When a ninth victim, Jeff Renny (Paul Commes) succumbs to the mysterious symptoms and dies at sunset, Case Manager Conner Doyle (Paul Miller) orders that the area around the stones be scanned for clues. While the O.S.I.R. prepares to proceed with the investigation, Ryan falls ill. The investigators discover more information about the curse that warns of death if the "ten" stones are not in their rightful places. Doyle remembers seeing a rock resembling the Eriksson Stones embedded near the island's pier. With sunset approaching and Ryan's death imminent, the O.S.I.R. and the local residents set about the task of moving the displaced tenth stone back to its original resting spot. Will the O.S.I.R. be able to reverse the deadly effects of this ancient prophecy or will Ryan become the tenth victim? Episode Twenty-One - Part Two Written by Sherman Snukal Truro, New York, USA On her way to a meeting, film executive Blythe Hall (Torri Higginson) accidentally crashes into a car driven by Karen Gustavson (Brooke Johnson), killing Gustavson but leaving her ten-year-old daughter, Holly (Allegra Denton), with only minor injuries. When Hall regains consciousness, she has assumed Gustavson's identity. Holly tells the Office of Scientific Investigation and Research's (O.S.I.R.) Lindsay Donner (Nancy Anne Sakovich) that, immediately after the collision, she saw a bright light briefly emanate from her mother's body. The investigators determine that Hall and Gustavson had never met, leaving them with no explanation for Hall's sudden, intimate knowledge of Gustavson's life. To help explain what happened, Holly is introduced to Hall. Holly refuses to believe that this stranger is her mother, despite Hall's knowledge of things only Gustavson would know. That night, Holly dreams about her mother who reminds her that she would never leave Holly alone. The next day, Holly visits Hall and tells her that she now believes that she is her mother "reincarnated". But Hall has resumed her original identity and does not recognize the young girl. Holly is traumatized by the experience. Soon after Hall returns to work, she experiences more "flashes" of Gustavson's memories. The O.S.I.R.'s Dr. Anton Hendricks (Colin Fox) runs tests on Hall after she collapses from the physical and emotional stress of the whole experience. Meanwhile, the investigators discover that Holly is missing. Gustavson's identity once again emerges in Hall, who warns through her flashes that Holly is at the crossroads where the accident occurred - and wants to kill herself so she can be reunited with her mother. Donner, along with Case Manager Conner Doyle (Paul Miller) rush to the intersection in the hope that they are not too late to save Holly. Episode Twenty-Two - (One Hour) Written by Will Dixon Near Archangelsk, Northern Russia The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research's (O.S.I.R.) Director of Operations Frank Elsinger (Nigel Bennett) orders Case Manager Conner Doyle (Paul Miller) to lead a team of investigators to Archangelsk in Northern Russia. Having just viewed video footage of a team of Russian scientists examining a creature found frozen in a glacier by two gas plant caretakers, Elsinger does not reveal to Doyle that the last scene of the video showed scientist Hannah (Kate Greenhouse) frightened and pleading for help. The investigators arrive at their destination to find the gas plant in shambles, the Mylodon on the examining table, and one of the plant's caretakers, Nikolai (Nicu Branzea), dead with a strange liquid running down his face and neck. Doyle insists that they immediately begin their search for the remaining Russians. When Dr. Claire Linda Davison (Soo Garay) performs autopsies on the deceased Russians, she discovers that something has attached itself to the inner walls of their stomachs, eating them from the inside out. Meanwhile, L. Q. Cooper (Peter Blais) discovers a nest of parasite eggs on the creature, and the team finds scientists Hannah and Dolph (Vieslav Krystyan) with the second caretaker, Alexei (Doru Bandol), who is extremely ill from an attack by a snake-like creature. Alexei begins convulsing and a six-inch parasite emerges from his mouth before he collapses and dies. Not knowing how this parasite is transmitted or if any of them have already been infected, Doyle is shocked when Elsinger asks him to capture a sample for research, thus endangering the lives of his team. Believing that the parasite thrives in a warm environment, the investigators systematically shut down the heat so they can trap it. Baranov, fearing for his life, tries to escape in the O.S.I.R.'s vehicle but, in his haste, does not notice the deadly parasite preparing to attack him. As Davison prepares the autopsy on Baranov, the parasite leaps out of the dead scientist's body and attaches itself to Cooper's chest. After a struggle, the team manages to freeze the parasite with nitrogen. Doyle orders the team to take Cooper to a hospital while he goes back into the plant alone. Why is Doyle willing to risk his life to destroy these creatures? |
