Garth Lindenaur (Michael Filipowich) undergoes regressive hypnosis. Amazingly, he experiences a future life, the life of Ian Vethamany (Sugith Varughese). The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.T.R.) discovers that Vethamany is a
crooked investment broker living in Chicago. They also confirm that all of Lindenaur's predictions for the following day prove to be correct.

The O.S.I.R.'s Case Manager Conner Doyle (Paul Miller) visits Vethamany, hoping to lure him into a regressive hypnosis session. Lindenaur predicts that Vethamany will be arrested for fraud while this meeting takes place. Unfortunately, Doyle's unexpected presence alters the future and the broker manages to escape from the authorities.

The O.S.I.R. discovers that their intervention has had strange and unpredictable ramifications. Lindenaur's girlfriend leaves him and he loses his job. The O.S.I.R. suspects that his future was changed when Vethamany managed to escape. They ask Lindenaur to help them catch Vethamany in hopes of restoring the natural pattern of Lindenaur' s life. The O.S.I.R. fears the dangers of knowing the future; what will be the consequences of altering future events
