Written by: Denise Fordham
Directed by: John Bell

Toronto, Ontario, Canada

The Office of Scientific Investigation and Research (O.S.I.R.) launches an investigation into the mysterious appearance of Angela Corbeil (Kelly King) and her daughter Sabine (Gillian Smith), who claim they were at home in Eureka, California one second and then in the dormitory of a Toronto university the next. The O.S.I.R.'s preliminary investigation finds that an Angela Corbeil does exist in Eureka, California. The O.S.I.R.'s Lindsay Donner (Nancy Anne Sakovich) checks all transportation routes and, although she finds that Corbeil had not been booked on any of them, she believes that Corbeil may be trying to attract public sympathy by concocting this incredible story.

After learning that Corbeil has a sister, Mary Corbeil (Sandra Caldwell), Donner is dispatched to Eureka and finds that Mary is as baffled as her sister about the situation. Meanwhile, in Toronto, the O.S.I.R.'s Dr. Anton Hendricks (Colin Fox) hypnotizes Angela, who explains that the last thing she recalls before appearing in the dormitory was trying to stop Sabine from walking towards a bright light that suddenly appeared in her living room.

After two weeks of environmental and physical testing and 24-hour surveillance, the O.S.I.R. has gathered no evidence leading to an explanation of the phenomenon. The O.S.I.R.'s Case Manager, Conner Doyle (Paul Miller), decides to halt the investigation, believing they have done all they can. The O.S.I.R. maintains periodic contact with Corbeil for two months, but becomes concerned when she fails to return their calls. When the O.S.I.R. investigates Corbeil's home, they are shocked to discover that the case may have been closed prematurely.
