When an armed robbery goes awry, 17 year old Noreen Rafferty (Julianne Phillips), the driver of the getaway car, is arrested and sentenced to 25 years in prison. The stolen $3 million dollars is never found. When she is released on parole after serving 12 1/2 years, she is besieged by media tabloid sharks, insurance adjusters and the officer who originally arrested her, Detective Emmett Briscoe (Nigel Bennett). Even though Noreen insists that there was an 'inside man' who planned the robbery, no one believes her. Noreen's money is quickly spent, and she has trouble finding work. Finally she gets a menial job in a bakery for minumum wage. There she meets Lou Gardella (A Martinez) another bakery employee and a romance develops. Noreen starts her own search for the 'inside man'. She suspects many people, among them an insurance adjuster who is following her, an ex-con cellmate of one of the robbers who died in prison, a bakery customer who flirts with her, and finally, even Lou himself. And there's still the matter of the missing $3 million . . . . Copyright 1995 USA Television Network |

| "Where's The Money, Noreen? was originally called Cakewalk. I thought this was a much better title. But I can't complain, I was the character who uttered the immortal line that became the new title!" |
