Synopsis

Elizabeth has just been admitted to the hospital for surgery, and while there she reflects on her life: her failed marriage, her troubles with her two daughters, and the unresolved issues with her childhood friend Henry, who may be able to provide the happiness that has always eluded her.

Anecdotes

"I don't honestly remember much about Elizabeth Alone, except that we did it in England and it was one of the first things I ever did on television. If anyone ever comes across a copy, please forgive me, I was young and didn't really know what I was doing!"
